Italy: Short selling ban for three months
Clearstream Banking1 informs customers that Consob, has announced a short selling ban on all securities listed on the Borsa Italiana for a period of three months.
Consob has also introduced an enhanced transparency regime on investments held in the largest listed Italian companies. This increased transparency lowers the minimum thresholds required to communicate participation in a listed company.
Further detail regarding the listed companies in scope and the new thresholds can be found on the Consob website.
We will continue to monitor the situation, and will inform customers when further news is received from the market.
