Spain: Fixed income transaction types with change of registry
This announcement, originally published on 6 October 2017, has been updated to correct the type of instruction that will be amended for OTC sales and purchases.
In order to avoid unwanted settlement failure due to transaction format misalignment, Clearstream Banking’s1
reminds customers to instruct their fixed income transactions in accordance with the transaction format described in announcement A17114.
With the objective to better support market efficiency, Clearstream Banking informs its customers that effective
10 October 2017
incorrect transaction formats provided for the following trades will be amended in line with the requested format specifications:
- Delivery/Receipt free of payment with change of registry (different from a sale or purchase)
- Delivery/Receipt against payment (OTC sale or purchase) with change of registry
Impact on customers
Free of payment transactions (different from a sale or purchase) that are received with transaction type TRAD with a change of registry (BUYR/SELL of DEAG/REAG is not CEDELULLXXX) will be amended with transaction type OWNE instead.
Against payment transactions (OTC sale or purchase) that are received with transaction type TRAD but without the OTC indication, and with change of registry (BUYR/SELL of DEAG/REAG is not CEDELULLXXX), will be amended with the missing OTC indicator.
