Slovak Republic: Decommissioning of the pre-matching service

Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform customers that effective

immediately

the pre-matching (PREA) service is no longer available for settlement in the Slovak market. Clearstream Banking will only send NEWM to T2S after successful provisioning on the customer’s account.

Pre-matching is not used by the Slovak banks and counterparties, therefore after consultation with our agent, we are decommissioning this functionality.

Impact on customers

Customers can still send their instructions with “On Hold”. However, Clearstream Banking will no longer send these instructions for pre-matching.

The instruction will be released for settlement once the customer has released their instruction and only once successfully provisioned.
