Saudi Arabia: SAR currency will be open on Thursdays
Following a royal decree issued on 23 June 2013 and effective
30 June 2013
Saudi Arabia is changing its working week to start on Sunday and to end on Thursday.
This change enables the Kingdom to better align the working week with the rest of the Arabian Gulf and, as there will now be four shared working days per week, with the rest of the world.
As a consequence of this change, Thursdays will now be a business day in Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Arabia Riyal (SAR) will be open on this day.
Note: All other SAR currency details and timings remain unchanged.
