Argentina: Banking strike announced for 21 and 22 April 2016
Clearstream Banking wishes to inform its customers of a planned 48-hour strike in the Argentine banking sector on 21 and 22 April 2016.
Clearstream Banking maintains customers’ securities in a direct account at the local CSD, Caja de Valores S.A., but it is possible that settlements with local bank counterparties and also cash repatriation instructions (ARS to USD) could be delayed by the strike action.
Clearstream Banking will continue to monitor the situation with Caja de Valores S.A., as CSD, and with its local Cash Correspondent Bank, Citibank Argentina and will provide further information as it becomes available.
