LEI services: Decommissioning of paper invoices and introduction of electronic invoicing
LuxCSD1 would like to inform customers that it will decommission the use of paper invoices sent by physical mail for LEI services rendered, effective with invoices covering
July 2020
This is part of LuxCSD’s continued effort to enhance its services and will help to reduce the environmental impact of its invoice services.
Impact on customers
Monthly invoices and credit notes of LEI services rendered will be provided as a PDF document attached to an email instead of in paper form sent by physical mail.
The receiver of the electronic invoice is the billing email address that customers provided on the LuxCSD LEI Online Platform. Please note that the provision of an email address in the billing details of the LuxCSD LEI Online Platform is mandatory.
If the email delivery is unsuccessful, then the requestor email address that the customer provided on the LuxCSD LEI Online Platform will be used alternatively to distribute the invoice.
On 17 December 2018, LuxCSD implemented Transport Layer Security (TLS) for the encryption of email communications, ensuring a safe distribution of the LuxCSD LEI invoices. Unencrypted email traffic is unsafe for LuxCSD’s business and the market. With the implementation of mandatory email encryption, LuxCSD aims to prevent unauthorised disclosure of information as well as data loss.
For access to LuxCSD’s emails, customers must fulfil the necessary technical requirements. For information on the protection of email communication via TLS, please refer to Announcement L18020.
