Negative interest rate: Update to Clearstream’s policy for positive Euro balances
Further to our announcement L15038, dated 10 April 2015, Clearstream Banking1 advises customers that effective
1 September 2015
the tiered mechanism excluding long balances of less than EUR 7,500,000 from the negative interest rate charge will be discontinued.
Impact on customers
All long balances in EUR held on Clearstream Banking customers’ accounts will be charged the current negative rate.
The charge will be calculated on the daily end of day balance and debited from customers’ accounts on the 15th day of the following month.
The negative rate remains unchanged until further notice at 0.20% p.a.
