Xact File Transfer: Introduction of new shareholder identification connectivity channel
Further to Announcements L20022 and L20033, Clearstream Banking1 would like to inform customers that effective
7 December 2020
it will introduce the Xact File Transfer solution for shareholder identification (SI) disclosure requests.
Impact on customers
As intermediary in the holding chain, Clearstream Banking has implemented the shareholder identification process.
When Clearstream Banking receives an SI disclosure request from an issuer in ISO 20022, customers can decide to receive the request through “Xact File Transfer via Internet”. If customers would like to receive XML reports for SI disclosure requests using their “Xact File Transfer via Internet” connectivity, they can schedule the report in Xact Web Portal.
This is in addition to the existing reporting possibilities in ISO 20022 format via the SI module in Xact Web Portal and via SWIFTNet FINplus.
This solution will allow customers to receive an SRD II driven SI disclosure request2 and provide all the information needed to respond to the issuer’s SI disclosure request (or the agent appointed by the issuer for this process).
