CreationOnline and Vestima: Security update

13.02.2015

Effective

Saturday 21 March 2015

Clearstream Banking will disable the SSLv3 protocol and the RC4 cipher on the CreationOnline and Vestima webservers.

This is a technical change required to maintain the high level of online security in Clearstream Banking services available via the internet.

All customers are requested to ensure that their browsers have the TLS 1.0 protocol enabled that will be required to connect to the CreationOnline and Vestima webservers. In Internet Explorer “Tools” -> “Internet Options” -> “Advanced” -> “Use TLS 1.0” should be enabled or check with your IT department.

Customers are reminded that outdated technology such as Internet Explorer 6 and Java 6 are no longer tested by Clearstream Banking, and are therefore not guaranteed to work and not supported.

Upon request, customers can access to a CreationOnline demonstration environment where a connection test can be performed.
