CSDR Cash Penalties: Changes in field Cash Account of the Monthly MT537 PENA report

15.05.2026

LuxCSD1 informs clients that effective

15 June 2026

for clients using a Penalty Dedicated Account (PDA) and a Single Cash Account (SCA), the account reported in the monthly MT537 PENA subsequence D1 (CASH) field :97a: account: Cash Account will consider the Penalty Dedicated Account (PDA) and any associated Single Cash Account (SCA) relation.

Current situation

If the client uses a PDA, then field :97a: account: Cash Account in subsequence D1 (CASH) will display the account number of that PDA.

Otherwise, field :97a: account will display the account number of the client.

Future situation

  • If neither a PDA nor any SCA are used, the client account will be reported in field :97a: account.
  • If a client PDA is used with an SCA linked to it, the linked SCA will be reported.
  • If a client PDA is used with no SCA linked to it, the PDA will be reported. The same applies when an SCA exists at client account level, that is, a SCA linked to the client account will not override the PDA.
  • If no client PDA is used but an SCA is linked to the client account, the SCA will be reported.

Important Note:

This reporting change does not alter the actual monthly penalties payment process via Payment Free of Delivery (PFoD) settlement instructions:

  • If a client PDA is used, PFoDs are generated against this PDA;
  • If no PDA is used, PFoDs are generated against the client securities account.
