Xact Web Portal: Introduction of Message Exchange and FTT Query

21.06.2018

Effective

16 July 2018

Clearstream Banking1 will introduce two new services in Xact Web Portal

  • Message Exchange for all business services; and
  • FTT (Financial Transaction Tax) Query.

Message Exchange

Message Exchange allows customers to send and receive free format text messages to and from Clearstream Banking. The messages are fully authenticated and their release is subject to the 4-eyes principle.

Customers can select a specific business service and the messages are routed directly to the relevant operational units in Clearstream Banking for example Client Services or Corporate Actions.

Message Exchange, Query allows customers to query sent and received messages to and from Clearstream Banking.

Customers will also be able to see messages submitted via CreationOnline’s Message Exchange service for their accounts.

The Message Exchange service will be available for all customers using Xact Web Portal with accounts in Clearstream Banking S.A., Clearstream Banking AG2 or LuxCSD.

Access will be granted to all existing customer Organisation Units (OU). For compliance, audit and security reasons, user access to create and query is managed by the customer’s OU administrator.

From 3 September 2018, it will be possible to:

  • add attachments to messages;
  • set up scheduled alerts via Business Monitoring under Reporting and Monitoring.

Financial Transaction Tax

Tax, FTT Query allows customers to query FTT files previously uploaded via CreationOnline or Xact File Transfer.

From 3 September 2018, full FTT upload functionality services will be offered in Xact Web Portal.

The FTT service will be available for all customers using Xact Web Portal with accounts in Clearstream Banking S.A., Clearstream Banking AG2 or LuxCSD.
