U.S.A.: FATCA : IRS releases "How-to" videos on the online registration portal
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has published the first “How-to” videos to assist Financial Institution with FATCA registration.
This is further to the opening, on 19 August 2013, of the online registration portal for Financial Institutions (FIs) to register for FATCA compliance (see our Taxflash T13065).
The following “How-to” videos are listed on the FATCA Registration Resources and Support page of the website of the IRS:
- Creating a FATCA account for online registration;
- Logging into a FATCA account;
- Recovering a FATCA ID or resetting a FATCA Access Code; and
- Registration system common features and navigation.
It is expected that more “How-to” videos will be released soon.
