U.S.A.: FATCA: Additional Statement to modify the U.S.A.-Japan Implementation Statement
On 18 December 2013, the Japanese Ministry of Finance released an Additional Statement modifying the original FATCA Statement of Mutual Cooperation and Understanding between the U.S.A. and Japan.
The Additional Statement includes the six-month postponement of FATCA implementation by the U.S.A., along with related adjustments.
We continue to monitor the implementation of FATCA and will provide more information as it becomes available.
