Iceland: Change of depository – Impact on tax reclaims

Further to our previous announcement A15054, dated 13 March 2015, concerning LuxCSD S.A. becoming Clearstream Banking’s1 depository for the Icelandic market, with effective date 23 March 2015, the following change will consequently apply with regards to our tax reclaim procedures.

Impact on customers

Refund request for payments paid on or after 23 March 2015

Beneficial owners requesting standard refunds for payments paid on or after 23 March 2015, must as of this date complete box 15 in below part II on the RSK form 5.42 as follows:

RSK form 5.42 - Part II. The exempted activity, services, rights and/ or payments

  • Box 15 (Payer of the service, property rights, dividends, interest etc) must mention “LuxCSD S.A.” instead of “Clearstream Banking SA”.

The remaining refund process remains unchanged and the requested documentation is to be completed as per our current procedure.

Refund request for payments paid before 23 March 2015

The process remains unchanged, meaning customers must continue to mention “Clearstream Banking SA” in box 15 in the above part II on the RSK form 5.42 and submit other required refund documentation as per our current procedure.
