France: FTT : Unofficial 2013 list of affected securities
Further to our previous Announcements1, we hereby provide an unofficial 2013 list2 of securities impacted by the French Financial Transaction Tax (FTT), based on the market values after close of business on 30 November 2012.

Impact on customers
Considering that the taxable event is the acquisition (that is, transfer of ownership) of the security, which occurs on the date on which the acquired security is recorded on the securities account of the purchaser, the application of the FTT to transactions related to shares of companies entering or leaving the scope of the FTT as of 1 January 2013 should be determined according to the “T+3 cycle assumption”, as follows:
- Transactions in securities newly included in the list of securities impacted by the FTT and negotiated as of Thursday 27 December 2012 and settled as of 2 January 2013 have entered the scope of the FTT.
- Transactions in securities excluded from the list and negotiated as of Friday 28 December 2012 and settled as of 3 January 2013 are no longer in the scope of the FTT.
Note: The attached list remains unofficial until further notice and is published for information purposes only. The list is subject to change in accordance with upcoming ministerial decrees.
