Upload of Beneficial Owner list – replacement of previous submission
Clearstream Banking1 offers its customers the possibility to upload Beneficial Owner (BO) lists online, as a part of the tax procedures for various markets.
This facility allows customers to provide Clearstream with the details of the beneficial owners on behalf of whom the customer hold equities, bonds or other types of securities in order to benefit from a reduced withholding tax rate.
Customers are in this context reminded that if uploading several BO lists for the same payment, any new BO list uploaded will cancel and replace the previous submission. Clearstream Banking will consequently disregard the previous sent instruction and only consider the last received BO list as the valid instruction from the customer for the specified payment.
