ISO 20022 rollout for General Meetings – New implementation timeline
Following Announcement L21048, Clearstream Banking1 postponed the rollout of ISO 20022 for General Meeting (GM) messages initially scheduled for 22 November 2021.
Clearstream Banking would like to inform customers that the implementation of ISO 20022 is now planned for
to replace the existing ISO 15022 messaging format.
The new go-live date will provide customers with adequate time to fully prepare and test the new message formats and conduct the necessary internal readiness measures accordingly. This will ensure a safe and successful transition to the new message format.
Impact on customers
All customers must prepare to receive GM messages and instruct in ISO 20022 as of November 2023. The exact implementation date will be communicated in due course. The existing ISO 15022 messages for GM will be decommissioned.

Customers who wish to upgrade to ISO 20022 before the new implementation date have the option to sign up for the General Meetings Enhanced Service via ISS.
ISO 20022 connectivity solutions for customers
ISO 20022 messages will be exchanged via SWIFTNet FINplus.
For customers using the Xact Web Portal, Clearstream Banking will implement a meeting event subdomain allowing to receive meeting notifications and send instructions accordingly.
Detailed implementation information including customer testing and migration approach will be provided in Q1 2023.
