Optimisation of the event “Information”
Clearstream Banking1 informs customers of a change in the reporting for “information events” that becomes effective
30 March 2020
All information provided by issuers with no accounting or financial impact on the holder and not considered to be a Corporate Action will be reported via an MT564 Corporate Action Notification with event type “INFO” (Information) instead of current MT564 Corporate Action Notification with event type “OTHR” (Other event).
This change will allow Clearstream Banking to achieve better compliance with SMPG standards and will help customers to make their event notification treatment process more efficient.
This issuer information includes, but is not limited to, a completion of filing and registration, remarketing notices, meetings pre-announcements and monthly reports.
As a result, the MT564 Corporate Action Notification with event type “OTHR” (Other event) will be only sent for corporate action events when none of the existing and SMPG compliant corporate action event types can be applied.
Customers currently subscribed to receive the MT564 for all event types or with a specific subscription to MT564 “INFO” in place, will receive the above issuer information automatically. Customers who do not have this reporting subscription in place and wish to receive it in the future, will need to update their current reporting subscription accordingly via Xact Web Portal, CreationOnline or MT599.
