Further to our Taxflash LT12026, dated 17 December 2012, the Greek Parliament has approved the tax bill concerning the following provisions:

  • Postponement of the implementation of capital gains tax on equities transactions from 1 January 2013 to 1 April 2013;
  • Reduction of withholding tax on dividends from 25% to 10%; and
  • Increase of corporate tax on dividends from 20% to 26%.

The proposed bill is expected to be voted on in the coming days.
