Japan: New Power of Attorney to HSBC template

immediately
a new template for the Power of Attorney to HSBC has been provided by our custodian to replace the template currently used as a part of the documentation required for requesting:
- Relief at source of withholding tax on interest from Japanese dirty convertible bonds; and
- Standard refund of withholding tax on dividends from Japanese listed equities.
Impact on customers
Customers of Clearstream Banking1 are requested to use the new template when seeking to obtain relief at source or applying for a standard refund with regard to the above payments.
The new template is available on our website and replaces the previous template.
