Italy: Change in the beneficial owner’s structure, status or holding to be reported to avoid standard refund rejections
Clearstream Banking1 wishes to inform customers that the Italian Tax Authorities (ITA), have highlighted the need to be informed directly by the final beneficial owners (or by their representative based on Power of Attorney) about any changes that have occurred in beneficial owner’s data compared to the one included in standard refund applications.
To reduce the risk of rejections, Clearstream Banking strongly recommends customers to pass this information to the final beneficial owners in order to report to the ITA any change in their corporate structure (such as name, address, legal status, termination of registered business, takeover or transformation of corporate structure etc).
Clearstream Banking does not intervene in this process. Nevertheless, the ITA’s contact details may be provided upon request.
