Finland: CCP transactions for settlement on Thursday 13 April
Due to the early close in the Finnish market on 13 April 2017, the three CCP’s EuroCCP, LCH Clearnet, and SIX X-clear have agreed that Maundy Thursday is to be a settlement holiday. Their reason for the holiday follows the issues experienced by CCP clients last year due to the market being open for half a business day.
This decision has raised numerous questions and concerns in the market. Euroclear Finland has informed the market that they are having ongoing discussions with the CCPs regarding the settlement day on Thursday 13 April 2017.
Thursday 13 April 2017 continues to be a half settlement day in Finland as previously announced.
We continue to monitor the situation in the Finnish market and will provide further information as it becomes available.
