Clearstream Europe renaming: Changes to the client tax certification

30.09.2025

In addition to Announcement D25023 regarding the renaming of Clearstream Banking AG to Clearstream Europe AG1, this announcement provides detailed information on the changes to the client tax certification effective

26 September 2025

Changes

Clients will observe the following changes:

The current tax certification published on the Clearstream website, used for the purpose of obtaining either relief at source, quick refund or standard refund, will be updated to reflect the new name.

Impact on clients

Existing tax certification, already registered and accepted by Clearstream, remains legally valid and will not need to be repapered.

Clients intending to provide new tax certification are however requested to use the updated tax certification templates with the new name, as of 26 September 2025.

A grace period until 31 October 2025 will be provided to clients, meaning any tax certification provided with the old name after this date will be rejected, as the updated version with the new name will become mandatory as of1 November 2025.
