General Meetings Service: Dynamic recipient address for Meeting Instruction Status (seev.006) and Meeting Vote Execution Confirmation (seev.007) messages

26.09.2025

Clearstream1 informs clients of the following enhancements to its reporting subscription functionality for the Meeting Instruction Status (seev.006) and Meeting Vote Execution Confirmation (seev.007) messages:

  • The possibility to define a dynamic receiver BIC address instead of a static BIC address for these messages for instructions sent via the Swift channel.
  • The possibility to exclude receiving these messages for instructions input via alternative channels (For example, Xact Web Portal).

These enhancements enable clients to benefit from an increased service level and quality. The new functionality will be available as of

24 November 2025

and ensure alignment with existing Corporate Actions functionality.

Background

The Clearstream General Meeting Service offers a full end-to-end solution in ISO 20022 Swift Message structure for all markets and asset classes.

Currently, clients need to pre-define a recipient BIC address for seev.006 and seev.007 messages when setting up their subscriptions. This means that regardless of the sender of the original Meeting Instruction (seev.004) and/or Instruction Cancellation (seev.005) message, the corresponding instruction status update (seev.006) or the vote execution confirmation message (seev.007) will be routed to the BIC address defined in the subscription set-up.

New feature: Dynamic recipient address for seev.006/seev.007

With the new enhancement, clients will now be able to define a dynamic recipient BIC address for seev.006/seev.007 messages based on the seev.004/seev.005 sender BIC address. When this option is selected, the system will automatically route the seev.006/seev.007 messages to the sender’s BIC address (DN) of the underlying instruction/cancellation message (seev.004/seev.005) instead of the static recipient address defined in the subscription.

To activate this feature, the subscriber should select the “Sender’s Address” option in Address field in the “Delivery” section for the channel “SWIFTFIN+”. The Additional Address field would then automatically be set to “Sender’s Address” option as well.

By enabling dynamic routing, this enhancement simplifies subscription management by reducing the need for multiple recipient addresses for status update messages, as already available for corporate actions processing.

New feature: “Include all input channels” checkbox

An additional enhancement to the seev.006 and seev.007 subscriptions is the flexibility on the client side to exclude receiving these messages for instructions input via alternative channels (for example, Xact Web Portal). The possibility will be available to select a checkbox (“include all input channels”) in the “Report Details” section. Only if the checkbox is selected, the client will keep receiving the seev.006/seev.007 messages to the defined receiver address from the subscription for all instructions, input via Swift or alternative channels (for example, Xact Web Portal).

  • The feature will only be applicable to the subscriptions with static receiver BIC address option and will therefore be disabled if the "Sender's address" option is selected in the “Address” field.
  • If it is not selected, the seev.006/seev.007 will only be generated for instructions received via Swift.

Cutover

For existing subscriptions, the “Include all input channels” option will be selected by default.
