General Meetings Service: New subscription filter by instrument type
Clearstream1 will introduce a new filtering feature for General Meetings message subscriptions starting
24 November 2025.
To enhance message relevance and customisation, clients will be offered an additional filtering option on financial instrument type for MX-only subscriptions. The feature will ensure that clients receive only the most relevant notifications based on their instrument preferences.
Background
The Clearstream General Meeting Service offers a full end-to-end solution in ISO 20022 Swift Message structure for all markets and asset classes. Clients have the option to subscribe to ISO 20022 messages for general meetings, which are documented on Swift MyStandards. Coexisting meeting notification and cancellation messages are offered in MT564.
The message types offered are:
- Meeting Notification (seev.001);
- Meeting Cancellation (seev.002);
- Meeting Entitlement Notification (seev.003);
- Meeting Instruction Status Update (seev.006);
- Meeting Vote Execution Confirmation (seev.007); and
- Meeting Results Dissemination (seev.008).
Separate subscriptions are required for different message types.
Currently, subscriptions by default include all instrument types and no feature is available to limit the scope to specific instrument types.
New feature: “Instrument Type” filtering
The new filter, titled "Instrument Type" will be available as a checkbox in the “Report Details” section and include the following selectable options:
- Exclude Bonds (which allows the exclusion of debts);
- Exclude Funds (which allows the exclusion of investment funds); and
- Exclude Equities (which allows the exclusion of equities and any other instrument types not specified above).
Clients will be able to select one or multiple options. By default, all three options will be unselected for both existing and new subscriptions meaning the subscription will include all instrument types.
The filtering function will only be available for the following MX subscriptions/ISO 20022 format:
- Meeting Notification (seev.001);
- Meeting Cancellation (seev.002);
- Meeting Entitlement Notification (seev.003); and
- Meeting Results Dissemination (seev.008).
