Testing Windows for Clearstream General Meeting Service
Clearstream Banking1 offers clients the opportunity to participate in upcoming testing windows for the Clearstream General Meeting Service, following the successful go-live of the Shareholder Communication Enhancement (SCE) and the ISO 20022 implementation last November.
These testing windows are open to:
- Clients interested in adopting the ISO 20022-based Clearstream General Meeting Service.
- Clients preparing to transition from General Meeting Service via ISS and seeking to validate their integration with the Clearstream General Meeting Service.
We encourage all clients to take advantage of these testing opportunities to ensure readiness and benefit from the next level of automation and integration in general meeting processing.
To ensure smooth onboarding and support the transition to the Clearstream General Meeting Service, Clearstream is offering two testing windows for clients to test the flow with MX messages and to validate their setup and integration with the new service:
First testing window | 8-19 September 2025 | Subscribe by 31 August 2025 |
Second testing window | 10-21 November 2025 | Subscribe by 2 November 2025 |
We encourage all impacted clients to participate in these testing periods to ensure readiness and continuity of service.
Clients can subscribe to either window using the subscription form attached below and send it to connect-test@clearstream.com with object [Name of Institution] – General Meeting Subscription, we kindly ask you to pay close attention to the details outlined in the form.
All MX instructions via SwiftFin+ must be addressed to our CBL DN ou=xxx,o=cedelull, o=swift both in the testing windows and in the live environment.
The test will involve the following ISINs:
- SHS SIEMENS AG (registered share) – DE0007236101 (Germany)
- SHS TESLA MOTORS INC – US88160R1014 (United States)
- SHS TOTAL SA – FR0000120271 (France)
The testing scenarios will involve the possibility for clients to test main types of GM instructions – EVOT, PRXY and PHYS. On the German market a registered share is used, so that request for registration of the position can be done together with the voting instruction.
As the General Meeting Service via ISS (formerly known as ISS Enhanced Service) will be discontinued by the end of February 2026, clients are requested to migrate to the Clearstream General Meeting Service, which offers a more integrated experience, by this deadline. Further information can be found in Announcement C25023 "Transition to Clearstream General Meeting Service".
