Investment funds in Bahamas can be in the form of:
A unit trust (UT), a common law trust managed by a unit trustee;
- Company:
- Segregated accounts company (SAC) registered under Segregated Accounts Companies Act, 2004;
- International Business Company [IBC] registered under International Business Companies Act, 2000.
- Partnership
- Exempted Limited Partnerships (ELP) under the Exempted Limited Partnerships Act.
Unit Trust under the Common Law;
Mutual Funds under the Investment Funds Act, 2019 (“IFA”) and Investment Fund Regulations, 2020 (“IFR”);
Unit Trust under the Common Law;
Mutual Funds under the Investment Funds Act, 2019 (“IFA”) and Investment Fund Regulations, 2020 (“IFR”);
Private Equity Funds under the IFA and IFR;
Hedge Funds under the IFA and IFR;
Pensions Funds under the IFA and IFR;
REITS under the IFA and IFR;
Investment Condominium (“ICON”) under the Investment Condominium Act, 2014.
